The Seven Deadly Sins review

Literally seconds ago I’ve finished this amazing anime that you’ve probably heard of, “The Seven Deadly Sins” or “Nanatsu no Taizai” and it was great.

The story:

A blonde boy named Meliodas is running a bar called “Boar’s Hat” along with his cute, talking pig named Hawk. One day, an armored person comes in and faints in front of him. Every guest runs away in fear thinking that this person is a member of the legendary group of warriors/criminals named The Seven Deadly Sins, but nobody has seen them since 10 years ago. Meliodas and Hawk decide to help the fainted person who was actually a princess who came looking for The Seven Deadly Sins to stop the Holy Knights from starting a war in her kingdom. Princess’ name is Elizabeth and along with Meliodas and Hawk she is trying to re-unite The Seven Deadly Sins, but the path isn’t easy. Since Meliodas is actually their captain Holy Knights are trying to kill him no matter what.

I hadn’t had any expectations for this anime, but I can for sure say that this is a very, very great one. The story is very unpredictable and very addicting and amusing. The humor is very well implemented and it was cracking me up on multiple occasions. The characters can go from extremely cute and lovable to extremely annoying and I think it adds a very nice touch to this anime. Let’s talk a bit more in depth about some characters, Meliodas is very annoying, at least to me, in the beginning at least. Elizabeth is too nice to Meliodas when he’s groping her, she just stands there and blushes, gosh I wish she would just punch him in the face. I absolutely loved the artstyle except Meliodas looked off, he just did. The first opening was good, but the first ending was excellent, I have it on my phone and I’ve been jamming out to it a lot. The second ending and opening were not as good though. The fighting scenes were amazing too.

  • Amazing story
  • Interesting characters
  • Good artstyle
  • Amazing first ending
  • Lot of humor

  • Small artstyle flaws
  • Elizabeth is not reacting to groping a lot
  • Meliodas is too child-looking
  • Cliff-hanger ending

7.5/10 😀 Looking forward to watching season 2! Go watch it if you haven’t.

  1. I definitely agree with your point about Elizabeth being too nonchalant about the groping! I’m hoping that Meliodas transforms into an adult version haha. He is too childish looking and I can’t take him seriously sometimes.
